Quality Management

Quality management typically consists of three main components: quality control, quality assurance and quality improvement. Quality management focuses not only on product quality, but also the means and ways to achieve it. Thus, Quality management uses quality assurance and process quality control as well as product quality control to achieve more consistent quality.

Quality Control (QC) is a system of routine technical activities, to measure and control the quality of products. The QC system is designed to:

(i) Provide routine and consistent checks to ensure data integrity, correctness, and completeness;
(ii) Identify and address errors and omissions;
(iii) Document and archive inventory material and record all QC activities.

Quality Assurance (QA) are planned and systematic activities necessary to provide adequate confidence that the product or service will meet the given requirements. Quality assurance also refers to the activities necessary to ensure that a module, component or system conforms to established technical requirements
